The Most Eligible Candidate of Bangalore North Parliament Electoral Constituency.  

The young and energetic, well qualified gentle man is the current Minister of Rural DevelopmentLaw and Parliamentary Affairs in the State cabinet and Member of Legislative Assembly of the Byatarayanapura Constituency.

 Born in Bangalore, Krishna is a graduate from the American University in Washington and Christ College in Bangalore. He was a project associate at the Ethiopian Embassy in Washington before earning his M.A. degree. He then worked as an agriculturalist at his family-owned farm in Kolar. He has served three times as an M.L.A. of Karnataka state. He was the youngest member of the Karnataka legislative Assembly once.

Krishna has served as the President of the Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress earlier and is currently holds the office of General Secretary of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, since 2012.

His father Mr. C. Byre Gowda was a senior legislator and cabinet minister of Karnataka state, having served as an M.L.A. for five consequent terms. He was agriculture minister from 1996 to 1999 in the cabinet of chief minister J.H. Patel.

In 2008 Krishna Byre Gowda won with 43% the votes, defeating A. Ravi of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

 Krishna Byre Gowda  focused on addressing problems unique to urban residents like bad roads, traffic congestion, drainage problems and un-cleared garbage.

  • Improvement and asphalting of all city roads!
  • Construction of link roads connecting NH and Ring road
  • Construction of Pedestrian pathways at BDA extended areas
  • Extending the UGD sanitary facilities to the all areas
  • Construction of Drains for all roads
  • Extending the Cauvery water supply to the newly developed areas.
  • Installing the High mast and sodium vapor lamps in the areas where it is not installed.
  • Provide houses for downtrodden citizens specially SC and ST
  • Rejuvenation of more than 30 lakes in the city
  • Increase the greenery in Bangalore by planting more trees
  • Provide parks and play Grounds Civic Amenity spaces are available.
