NERALU - The Residents Welfare Trust Ramamurthy Nagar International Women’s Day Celebrations

Skill development and self-employment awareness program for ladies in association with the KVIC - Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Government of India

Neralu ---- NGO:

A few likeminded residents of Ramamurthy Nagar and surroundings like ITI Colony, Akshya Nagar, Ananthapra, Margondanahally, NRI Layoout, Kalkere, Part of Horamavu, Banjara Layout, Channasandra,  Hoysala Nagar, East of NGEF Layout, Kasthuri Nagar, Vijanapura etc  joined together and formed an NGO, ‘NERALU’  the Residents Welfare Trust - Ramamurthy Nagar, in view of bringing people together and helping the deserved.  Our working area had been divided in to five zones and the work is carried out with the Zonal Committees. We liaison with the civic authorities and the residents to get the work done smoothly. We don’t have any party politics, region or religious affiliations. We will be going along with the Government and the elected representatives irrespective of their party politics.

In connection with the International Women’s Day, an awareness programme for skill development and self-employment is held at ITI Vidyamandir Dooravaninagar in association with in association with the KVIC - Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Government of India.

Display and sales of Women Home-made items, Introduction of women entrepreneurs, Lunch and tea for registered participants, Felicitations to women achievers etc were the highlights of the event.

Dr. Kumuda Rani, Deputy Director Forensic Laboratory Karnataka, Ms. Anitha Kumari Police Inspector, Cyber Crime Department Bangalore. Ms. Mnajula Devi a renowned Educationalist, Ms. Vidya Keshavakumar Vice President of Janaatte Grama Panchayath  Kolar were the guests of the programme.

Mr. Linga Durai and Sri Balakrishnan Additional Director of Khadi and Village Commission conducted the workshop for skill development and self-employment awareness.

Ms. Uma Rajeswari a renowned Civic Leader conducted a session for Wase Management and alternatives.

The lady Directors of the NGO Ms. Shantha Krishnamurthy, Ms. Malleswari V, Ms. Tanuja Nitheesh Kumar,   Ms. Manjula Prabhakar, Ms. Ayisha Asmi, Ms. Bharathi Rajesh and Ms. Naga Jyothi were felicitated in this function.

Sri Shama Rao the founder of Neralu was felicitated in the function. SK Nair Working President welcomed the gathering, Sri Peter George the Director of NERALU presided the meeting. Ms. Naga Jyothi proposed vote of thanks.
