Government of Karnataka issued the latest order on 15.06.2020 detailing the movement of persons from other states to Karnataka for controlling spread of Covid-19 pandemic.

Under section 24(l) of The Disaster Management Act 2005 and section 2(1) of The Epidemic Diseases Act 1897 to regulate movement of persons from other states to Karnataka, in partial modification of the order number RD 158 TNR 2020 (p1) issued on 03.05.2020.

1. Quarantine Norms:

a. Persons coming from Maharashtra shall be placed in 7-day institutional quarantine followed by 7-day home quarantine.

b. Persons coming from Delhi or Tamil Nadu shall be placed in 3-day institutional quarantine followed by 11-day home quarantine.

c. Persons coming from states other than Maharashtra, Delhi and Tamil Nadu shall be placed in 14-day home quarantine.

d. The other quarantine norms including those for business travelers, transit travelers and special category travelers shall be in accordance with the protocol issued by Health & family Welfare Department vide document number SOP4/TST/2 dated 0G,06.2O2O, which is annexed to this order.

2. Registration on Seva Sindhu portal:

a. The registration on Seva Sindhu portal is mandatory for all persons coming in or transiting through Karnataka by providing correct information about their contact number and destination address.

b. All transport companies such as airlines, railways and, road transport companies are required to ensure that their passengers have done the registration on Seva Sindhu portal for the relevant mode of transport before boarding the flight, train or bus.

Any violation of the quarantine norms or failure to register on Seva Sindhu portal or giving of incorrect information by the incoming persons or carrying of passengers by the transport companies without registration on the portal shall attract penal action per as section 51(b) of The Disaster Management Act 2005 and section 188 of the lndian penalCode.
