ITI Limited begins the second phase distribution of essential provisions bags to 1200 poor families of nearby localities of Doorvaninagar during COVID-19 crisis
Continuing its efforts to provide support to needy people during the nation-wide lockdown, ITI Limited today distributed the general provision items to poor families of Bhovi colony, Caudhenahalli, Varnasi, Yrannpalya and Muneshwar nagar. More than 1200 bags containing Rice, Sugar, Ragi flour, Sooji, Rice flakes, Tea packets, Salt and Biscuits were provided to needy people of nearby localities.
Reiterating its commitment to giving back to society, Shri R M Agarwal, CMD, ITI Limited said, "In the first phase the company has already adopted 1000 poor families of Ambedkar Nagar near ITI Township, Doorvani Nagar. In the second phase of distribution today, we have included more nearby localities and distributed more than 1200 provision bags to families who are not able to go to work during the lockdown. ITI as a committed entity will keep helping the society in the coming days as well."
The provision bags were handed over to needy people at ITI community hall 'Kalyana mandapam' in the presence of senior officials and employees of ITI Limited. In the third phase, the company is expecting to distribute provision bags in other localities as well.
