ITI Ltd shows its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by joining nation’s collective fight against Covid-19

Heavy flow of laurels from many parts of the nation continue reaching CMD Shri RM Agarwal and the top management officials of ITI Ltd as it has taken a decision to join nation’s collective fight against Covid-19 ITI Limited,

India’s first public sector undertaking manufactures face shields to fight against evolving coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic at ITI Bangalore Plant to strengthen the objective of Government of India’s Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. A face shield is Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) aims to protect facial area (eyes, nose and mouth) from viral infection caused by droplets, splashes, sprays and spatter etc. The 3D designed face shield is made out of crystal clear Poly Ethylene Transparent (PET) sheets of 175 microns with maximum visibility, scratch proof, fog proof and can withstand temperature up to 70 degrees. The indigenous face shield also provides hassle free respiration and very convenient to use. The face shield can be customized as per user requirements and suitable for wide range of applications. The frame is designed to ‘Fit for All’ and made out of ABS plastic which is eco-friendly, non-toxic, reusable and can also be recycled. The frame can take any number of PET sheet replacements.

Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, one among the top twenty influential world leaders in digital technology and e-government, presently holding the position as the Union Minister for Law and Justice, Electronics and Information Technology and Communications Government of India tweeted that ‘Happy to see that Telecom equipment manufacturer PSUs like ITI Ltd are contributing their bit in our collective fight against Covid19’
